Just like with my own blog, I have let this one go since August — shameful!  Now it is time to catch up.  What have Chris and I been doing since late summer?  Not much, honestly, aside from working.  Despite our lack of consistent extracurricular activities we have embarked on a few mini-adventures, one of them being the Coldplay concert at the American Airlines Center on November 11, 2008.  We traveled to Dallas to watch Chris Martin and crew with Matt and Becca after stuffing ourselves with a tasty dinner at Chilis.  I took loads of photos but sadly most of them came out blurry (darn fancy lighting) so here are a few which you can actually see — enjoy!

Coupons — small pieces of barcoded paper which save you very small amounts of money — but despite the lack of true savings (and the fact I rarely remember to use them anyway) I still feel compelled to clip them for products I do or may consider purchasing. 

So last weekend — by fault of the newspaper delivery people — a Sunday edition of the Star-Telegram landed in our yard and rather than trying to figure out who it actually belonged to we brought it into the house for saving excitement.  I sat down with my scissors and a glass of iced tea ready to snip away — and became very frustrated at the coupons themselves — hardly any of them were for single items!  Instead it was “save 50 cents on FOUR” or “10% off when THREE are purchased” — !!  GRRR!  There are only two of us! 

We do not need four of anything, except maybe coasters, and especially not boxes of sugary kiddie cereal or Juicy Juice — where are the Couples Only coupons?  Where is the coupon for my Quaker Cinnamon Roll oatmeal?  Annoying to say the least but it did prompt me to look for coupons online — and if anyone is interested www.coupons.com offers some good, single-sized deals.
